Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are these tiles EN 13893 certified — required for commercial gym insurance compliance?
A: Yes. Every tile in this range carries EN 13893 slip resistance certification along with CE marking and REACH compliance. These are the certifications required by most UK commercial gym operators, facility managers, and insurance underwriters for public-access fitness flooring.

Q: How does the 500mm × 500mm tile size work for large commercial gym floors?
A: The 500mm format (4 tiles per m²) gives you excellent layout flexibility across large commercial floor areas. The interlocking system creates seamless joins at scale — ideal for open-plan gym floors, functional training zones, and free weights areas. For very large installations, tiles can be glued to the subfloor for a permanent commercial finish.

Q: What density and impact rating are these tiles — suitable for heavy commercial use?
A: At 900 kg/m³, these are high-density commercial-grade rubber tiles. They deliver 70% impact absorption, making them suitable for free weights zones, functional training areas, and multi-use gym floors in commercial facilities with daily high-traffic use.

Q: Can these tiles be used in commercial spaces with underfloor heating?
A: Yes — rubber gym tiles are compatible with electric underfloor heating systems. The thermal conductivity of rubber allows heat to pass through to the surface without damaging the tiles. Ensure the subfloor temperature does not exceed 27°C at the tile base. Hydronic (wet) UFH systems should be fully balanced before tile installation.

Q: How do I maintain these tiles in a busy commercial gym environment?
A: For high-traffic commercial gyms, sweep daily and damp mop with a gym-safe disinfectant diluted in water. The 900 kg/m³ dense rubber resists liquid ingress, making deep cleaning straightforward. Avoid bleach-based products. Many commercial operators schedule a quarterly deep clean with a rubber floor-specific cleaner.

Q: What's the lead time and can I order in bulk for a full gym fit-out?
A: These tiles are available for bulk commercial orders with competitive pricing for large quantities. Standard orders dispatch within 1–3 working days. For large-scale commercial fit-outs, contact us directly for a project quote — we supply gyms, leisure centres, hotels, and schools across the UK.

Came right on time and was packed securely, which was a relief! Laying down this flooring in our corporate wellness space was hassle-free and it blended in brilliantly with the rest of the equipment. I couldn’t help but notice how sleek the finish looked up close; its been highly impressive. The fact that it’s EN 13893 slip-certified adds a layer of reassurance, especially during those intense yoga sessions or when everyones bustling about. Overall, its made our gym floor much more professional and safe for all activities.

Wasnt sure at first but wanted a quick fix for the workout area in my garage, so I went with these tiles. They’ve got a decent grip which is grand when Im lifting and theyre thick enough to absorb the clang of dropped weights – definitely pleased with that. Held up brilliantly even after getting pretty heavy use, so no complaints here!

Installed it in our community centres fitness space, and the process was straightforward right from the start. The tiles fit snugly together and made redoing the floor incredibly simple—I even managed it all by myself over a weekend. Its been a month now, and weve had plenty of foot traffic; yet, the flooring shows no signs of wear or losing its impressive grip. Given how its held up so far, I couldnt be more satisfied with this choice for adding both safety and style to our functional areas.
